Imagine a time when you actually were afraid of dying to normal mobs out in the world, and getting a piece of green equipment was a huge boost, and every level felt like an accomplishment, and it took hours to get out of the first zone...

the music really brings you back. The sense of adventure for the first time in various places with or without your friends makes some deep impacts. I have moved on to try and recreate similar experiences outside of video games now. Recently picked up fly fishing and love adventuring through the wild to find places to fish at regardless if I catch anything or not.

My uncle is a gamer and bonded with my cousin over this game. He played the game to remember him after my cousin died. Then when I was like 12 he showed me Skyrim, and he and I played it for hours. Every time I go to his place now (he lives states away) we always pick up where we left off.

2004-2005 was one of the happiest times in my life. first time playing a MMO... on servers full of other people playing their first MMO. no min/maxing "proper" way to play... everyone was just having fun.

My very first and main character is a tauren druid. I named him Feralas. I've been playing with it since 2009, and have always loved returning to the Feralas location. What memories! Then Blizzard simply kicked us out, Russian players, and now I can’t even look at my character on the game website... I will never return to the shady crowns of Feralas. Never...

This game's atmosphere was unrivaled.

This Addons was pure Magic feels like yesterday when my 20 year old me played wotlk on release. I never loved a game or addon more sometimes i pay 12,99 only to fly a few hours through northrend. Peak Blizzard

Suramar is the one zone they've really ever made that actually felt like a city.

Part of this masterpiece is work of Matt Uelmen, maestro behind Dialo I and II + LoD music. He also made original SC music. Burning Crusade music was partly made from what was supposed to be Diablo III music (which didnt happen, altho he had small part in later D3 music too). He was also part of Blizzard North, which parted ways with Blizzard at certain point, which is maybe reason why following WoW music is still very good, but not THIS good. IMHO, WoW peaked during TBC in terms of quality. At least for me. If you played it, you will never ever forget that time.. its easier to forget real life events than that time.

Yk when your just walking on the streets in the game and traveling the roads and just listening to the music and just getting into it? Sometimes I thought I was my character and I was living their life in the game and when I came back to reality I would think “yea this is where some happiness comes from”

I listen to a lot of music when i work or study, and the Skyrim soundtrack is some of the most inobtrusive. Always slaps.

azuremyst isle had this beautiful mix between suffering and relaxation. most things there are strange but fascinating, the draenei included. they have this alien technology, but go through great pain and loss in the starting zone. you hear this aetherical music and play a survivor of a fatal crash landing, equipped with nothing but flimsy leather trousers and a thin wooden bow, but at the same time the draenei around you speak with dignified, calm voices-even their movements and skillset were elegant these contrasts always stuck with me

To me, Skyrim is a game that feels like a comfy old sweater. Anytime I want to explore Skyrim and its world all I have to do is press play.

The amount of nostalgia of what music really does to me. Such a great game with great music and funny bugs... Should I go back to playing this game again? my last save was on a DLC called Dawnguard I absolutely loved how the armor looks ngl.
